Employees and Regular Bingo Players at the Carlton Bingo Hall will held a special event for Breast Cancer Awareness Week. The event will be even more hilarious and special as all of the men will be hearing “pink outfits for the event which will be one of their ways on how they can show their support to the women who have been victims of breast cancer.
October 19, 2006, employees and regular customers at a Glasgow Base Bingo Hall are ready to “wear pink” so that they can raise enough funds for breast cancer awareness program and breast cancer research. A regular bingo player at the Carlton Bingo Hall, Jim Mutrie, said that he will dye his hair pink and have it shaved off by one of the employees of Carlton Bingo Hall, John McGlone. Mr. McGlone also plans on dressing in an all-pink outfit, which will include a pink dress, a pink hairdo and matching pink shoes for the whole event. The bingo night at Carlton is one of the activities for the bingo industry’’s yearly charity week that aims to help the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Organization. The bingo players at the event at Dumbarton Road will also have the opportunity to be bingo callers and have their performances judged by their fellow bingo players.

The manager of the Carlton Bingo Hall, Gary McDonald said that the charity week is a very important event for both their staff and customers because even if it is a very fun and hilarious event, there is also a serious message and nature behind it. The event is when they can share their knowledge and insight about breast cancer and teach women how to recognize signs if they do have breast cancer.
